Our Spring Scottish Dance Weekend – April 28th to 30th 2023

Friday 28 APRIL 

20h – 23h: social dance

Saturday 29 APRIL

9h30: Welcome

10h – 12h30: Intermediate and advanced class. Focus on steps and technique.

14h30 – 16h30: Intermediate and advanced class. Focus on unusual dances and repertoire.

17h – 18h30: Easy dances, children and beginners accepted


14h30 – 18h30: Music course

20h30 – midnight: Social dance

Sunday 30 APRIL

10h00 – 12h00 : Free guided tour of Lyon

12h30 : Lunch in a traditional Lyonnais Bouchon

All classes and the social evening dances will be in English, but our teacher is aware of the language barrier an international group might meet. No complete beginners.

Saturday lunch can be booked through us in a local restaurant. Saturday dinner is a shared picnic meal, everyone can bring something to share with the rest of the group.

Weekend fees must be paid in advance. Cancellation policy: full refund up to a month before the event. 50% refund up to a week before the event, no refund after that.


A list of hotels can be sent on request.

Subject to availability, it is possible to stay in the home of some LYON BRANCH dancers (first booked, first served)


Friday social dancing: 15€ non members 10€ members

Full weekend (Friday + Saturday): 45€ non members 40€ members 35€ under 25

Saturday only (workshops + social dance): 35€ non members 30€ members 25€ under 25

Children workshop + first 3 dances on social program: 6€
